Grand Mesa Dental Hygiene

Mary P. Vigil, RDH is the owner of Grand Mesa Dental Hygiene, LLC (GMDH) and a long time resident of Delta, Colorado. She is the 2012 Ethel Covington Award honoree, which recognizes the dental hygienist who make the greatest contribution to the dental health of their community and improves their profession with professionalism and quality dental care and education to the people they serve.

 

Mary received her Associates of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from Pueblo Community College in August 1986. She has practiced dental hygiene for the past 29 years in the states of Montana, Oregon and Colorado. Five of these years she worked with Periodontists specializing in prevention and maintenance of periodontal disease. Ms. Vigil with the support of family and friends, opened Grand Mesa Dental Hygiene, in July 2003. It is the first direct access dental hygiene practice in Delta County.  Since opening, Grand Mesa Dental Hygiene has seen over 4,100 patients. A recent examination of patients determined that approximately 90% of the children seen are Medicaid patients. 

 

Grand Mesa Dental Hygiene has set the standard in Delta County by actively promoting oral health care services and specializing in dental and periodontal cleanings for all ages. Ms. Vigil evaluates patients for intra/extra oral cancer screenings, provides full dental and periodontal charting and assessments, X-rays, oral hygiene instruction, fluoride treatments, sealants and whitening.

 

Cynthia Lopez is the office manager at Grand Mesa Dental Hygiene, LLC.  She is an invaluable asset to the professional and finely tuned operation of our office. Her years of service and dedication to what we stand for have endeared her to our patients and solidified her as a important part of the fabric of our practice.
